Obituary for Dorman Leo Jeane
A funeral service for Dorman Leo Jeane will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Walnut Hill United Pentecostal Church, 192 Walnut Hill Road Leesville, LA, with Reverend Dale Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in Antioch Cemetery, 2241 Slagle Loop Leesville, LA, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation time will be held on Wednesday at the church from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Mr. Jeane was born August 1, 1932 in Hicks, LA and passed away May 15, 2020 in Shreveport, LA at the age of 87. He was a member of Central Assembly of God in Haughton, LA and worked for many years as a CDL truck driver/courier. He enjoyed watching wrestling and could fix just about anything. Dorman was a very patient man and was blessed with the ability to speak comforting words at the right time. He had a sweet, humble spirit, and he cherished his family.
Mr. Jeane was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Doris Ilene Jeane; parents, Jesse Andrew Jackson Jeane Sr. and Lois Jeanette Hagan Jeane; son, Jackson Dorman “Bubba” Jeane; and siblings, Pauline Brack, Delmafaye Bankston, Janis Lessing, and Jesse Andrew Jackson Jeane Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Tracy Allen Jeane of Bossier City, LA,
daughters, Darlene Mustapha and husband Ali of Shreveport, LA and Donna Croft and husband Scott of Haughton, LA,
grandchildren, Brandi Knotts and husband Steven, Jeremy Gordano, Stacy Berry and husband Cody, Scotty Croft and wife Felicia, and Kayla Tyson and husband Matt,
great grandchildren, Hayden Knotts, Holden Knotts, Ainsley Gordano, Macey Croft, Austyn Croft, Jackson Croft, Londyn Berry, Lawson Berry, Harper Grace Tyson, and Sawyer Rose Tyson,
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Gordano, Scotty Croft, Steven Knotts, Cody Berry, Matt Tyson, and Christian Derrick. Honorary pallbearer will be Tracy Jeane.
A special thanks is extended to Felicia Croft for the help and care that she gave to Dorman (PawPaw).
