Obituary for Doris Faye Jackson
A funeral service for Doris Faye Jackson will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at Mount Olive Baptist Church with Reverend Carl Armstead officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. Mrs. Jackson’s funeral service will be livestreamed on Jeane Funeral Service Facebook page. It will be available to view after the service as well. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, on Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
Doris was born March 10, 1950, in Leesville, LA and passed away September 12, 2021, in Alexandria, LA at the age of 71. She lived in Missouri for many years before moving back to Leesville and became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Doris was a kind, loving, and caring person who enjoyed cooking for her family. She used her decorating skills to provide a warm, comforting home.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, James Jackson Jr.; parents, Ernest Poland and Callie Woods; and sisters, Edith Mercer and Betty Rels.
Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Marian M. Jackson of Leesville, LA;
granddaughter, Bianca S. Wilborn of Kileen, TX;
great grandchild, Zacari A. Garner of Kileen, TX;
brother, Robert Woods and wife Trish of Glenburnie, MD;
sisters, Karlean Caise of Fort Worth, TX and Alice Woods of Leesville, LA;
and host of extended family.
