Obituary for Doris Eva Watkins
A funeral for Doris Eva Watkins will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA 71446. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s on Saturday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
Doris was born October 22, 1947, in Heidelberg, Germany to Emil Ullrich and Irma Machka. She passed away November 15, 2022, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 75. In 1981, Doris moved to Leesville, LA with her family while her husband, Ronald, was serving in the US Army and stationed at Fort Polk. After his retirement from the Army, they lived in New Llano, LA.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Ronald Eugene Watkins; parents; and brother, Roland Machka.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Belinda Watkins of New Llano, LA, Ralf Walschburger, Uwe Walschburger, Karula Jockle, and Arndt Walschburger all of Germany;
grandchildren, Raven Watkins, Sierra Watkins, Carvin Watkins, Aiden Watkins, Lena Walschburger, Aaron Gustav Walschburger, Sophia Braun, Samuel Braun, Miriam Jockle, and Melissa Jockle;
great-grandchildren, Sanaa, Aaris, Ryleigh, Sophie, Pierce, Paisley, and Nash;
siblings, Gabriele Volker, Norbert Machka, and Gunter Hirsch all of Germany;
and a host of extended family members.
