Obituary for Diane Brooks
Funeral services for Allie Diane Williams Brooks will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, October 26, 2018, at Family Worship Center with Reverend Chris Portz officiating. Burial will follow in the Elisha Memorial Cemetery, 8500 Hwy. 112 Glenmora, LA 71433, under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
A visitation for the family and friends of Diane will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 25th at Family Worship Center.
Diane was born on March 3, 1952, and passed away on October 23, 2018, at the age of 66. She lived in Louisiana for most of her life and in her free time, she enjoyed sewing, gardening, and making crafts. During her 28 years as a home economics teacher, Diane influenced the lives of her numerous students. She was a mama to many, not just their teacher, and was affectionally known as Mama Brooks, Aunt Diane, and Brooksy. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family and especially her grands and great grands.
Diane was preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Pauline Williams.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 47 years Tommy Brooks of Florien, LA
Son: Brian Dale Brooks and wife Andrea of Alexandria, LA
Daughter: Anita Pauline Portz and husband Chris of Leesville, LA
Grandchildren: Alison Portz, Sarah Reandilar, Daisy Portz, Lucas Brooks, and Luna Brooks
Great grandchildren: Ashley Portz and Brooklynn Portz
Brothers: Dale Williams, Gus Williams and wife Connie, Sidney Williams and wife Bonita, and John Williams and wife Sharon
Sisters: Karen Whitford and husband Bob and Jackie Barker and husband Peter
and a host of extended family.
