Obituary for David Stuart Martin
Graveside services for "Centerfold" David Stuart Martin will be held on Monday, September 15, 2014 at Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, University Parkway, Leesville, Louisiana. Reverend Sandy Gwynn will be officiating with full military honors to follow under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service. Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5:00 - 9:00 pm at the Jeane's Funeral Chapel, 100 East Union Street, Leesville, Louisiana. Also, visitation will continue on Monday from 8:00am-1:30pm in the Chapel. Centerfold was born on April 30, 1942 to Joe and Margaret Stuart Martin in Evansville, Indiana. He passed away on Wednesday, September 10th, 2014 at his residence in Leesville at the age of 72 years, 4 months and 11 days. He was a retired US Army Sgt. having served two tours in Vietnam. He loved his country that he served for many years. After retirement, he worked several jobs around the Leesville area and was a 35 year member of the Black Hawk Motorcycle Club. Centerfold served as the National Vice-President and Secretary for the Black Hawks. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 3106 of Leesville and a member of American Legion Post 387. He loved spending time with his wife and was an avid Harley rider. He was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Margaret Martin. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marilyn Hall Martin, of Leesville. Sons: Richard E. Martin of Leesville, David Martin of Kentucky, Adrian Martin of Tennessee Daughter: Shannon Martin of Wisconsin Brothers: Steven Martin and wife Julie of Henderson, Kentucky Black Hawk and Banshee brothers Sister:Tinker Damron and husband Jim of Lexington, Kentucky Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com
