Obituary for David Paul Slaydon
Funeral services for David Paul Slaydon will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 1:00 PM, with Reverends Carroll Dunn, Daniel Lowe, and Edward Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Cooper Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Jeane’s Funeral Service from 11:00 AM until time of service.
David Paul Slaydon was born on April 4, 1957, in Leesville, LA to William Merle and Catherine Cluney Slaydon. He passed away on November 22, 2023, in Leesville at the age of 66. David joined the military and then later returned to Leesville. He had several jobs in construction and moved manufactured homes for many years. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and riding four wheelers. As he got older, he enjoyed just riding around with his side kick, Goober. Goober was his best buddy and always at his side.
He was preceded in death by parents, sisters, Doris Welch, and Geraldine Foster; and brother, Kenneth Slaydon.
He is survived by his brothers, Bobby Slaydon and Danny Slaydon of Leesville, LA and a host of extended family and friends.
