Graveside services for David Moore of DeRidder, LA will be held on Thursday at 2:00 pm in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery near Ft. Polk, La. Burial will be under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Service of Leesville. Mr. Moore 71 was born October 23, 1942 to Jamess and Mollie Martin Moore in Pitkin, La. He was a Vietnam Veteran having served in the U.S. Navy. After serving his country he worked as a Merchant Marine traveling the oceans of the world. He loved to cook, garden and woodwork. Preceding him in death was his parents, Sister: Elaine Shackleford and Brothers: James A. and Sam Moore Survivors are: Daughter: Heather Moore of Lake Charles, La, and Son: Joshua Moore of Bristol, TN. Granddaughter: Taylor Moore of Briston, TN Sister and brother in law: Bobbye and Clyde Gehron of DeRidder Host of Nephews and Nieces. Visitation will begin on Thursday morning at 11:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Jeane's Funeral Service 100 East Union ST.
