Obituary for David Leroy Bloodworth
A graveside service for David Leroy Bloodworth will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery, 2241 Slagle Loop Leesville, LA, with Reverend L.E. Robertson officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service, 100 E. Union St. Leesville, LA, on Tuesday, September 21st from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
David was born June 17, 1962, in Austin, TX and passed away September 18, 2021, in Leesville, LA at the age of 59. He lived in Leesville most of his life and could frequently be found at the Slagle Mall. David enjoyed telling jokes and stories and could fix almost anything. He especially liked to work on trucks or anything with a motor. He had an outgoing personality and never met a stranger. David would easily be the center of attention and the liveliest person in the room. His fun-loving nature helped him make many long-lasting friendships and created precious memories for his family.
David was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Bloodworth.
Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Elois LaFaye Sigler of Leesville;
son, John David Bloodworth of Savannah, GA;
stepson, Cody Everett and wife Tensie of Palestine, TX;
daughter, Kelli Rector and husband Kris of Leesville;
grandchildren, Kaysiah, Kayson, Abbie, Presley, London, Kash, Axel, and Mazilynn;
brothers, Thomas Eloi Bloodworth, Mark Lynn Bloodworth and wife Becky, and Samuel Lee Bloodworth and wife Mindy all of Leesville;
sisters, Lisa Gordy York of Cat Springs, TX and Robin Bloodworth of Lubbock, TX;
nieces and nephews, Mark II, Mason, Damon and Lizzy;
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Mark Bloodworth, Sam Bloodworth, Mark Bloodworth II, Cody Everette, Damon Bloodworth, and Mason Bloodworth.
