Obituary for David Franklin Foushee
Funeral services for David Franklin Foushee will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at East Leesville Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Key officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery.
A visitation for the family and friends of Mr. Foushee will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at East Leesville Baptist Church.
Mr. Foushee was born on December 2, 1933, in Culpeper, Virginia and passed away on August 4, 2018, in Alexandria, Louisiana at the age of 84. He served over 20 years in the U.S. Army as a fixed-wing pilot and warrant officer. After the battle of Chosin, he served in Korea and then in Vietnam. After retiring from the Army, he taught in the flight program at Fort Polk. Mr. Foushee was a resident of Simpson, LA since 1976 and a member of East Leesville Baptist Church. During his free time, he loved to read and piddle around the house doing handyman jobs.
Mr. Foushee was preceded in death by his daughter Melody Ringwood and son-in-law Patrick Ringwood, parents Henry Foushee and Ollie Bowen, brothers Charles Foushee and Roger Foushee, and sisters Ann Long and Shirley Yancey.
