Obituary for Daryl Alan Branning
A funeral service with full military honors will be held for Daryl Alan Branning at 1:30 on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Jeane’s Funeral Service on Wednesday from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m.
Daryl was born December 26, 1953, in Trenton, New Jersey and passed away April 29, 2023, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 69. He proudly served in the US Army for 22 years and was stationed in Germany during part of his service. He passed on a tradition of military service to his children. He also worked for JB Hunt, Orkin, and at the Fort Polk Recycling Center. He enjoyed watching movies and his two favorite TV shows were Star Trek and Mash. Daryl had a friendly personality and liked to talk – especially to fellow veterans because his military service meant so much to him.
Daryl was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin Forrest Branning & Ruby Shelton Branning and brother, Richard Forrest Branning.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 35 years, Linda T. Branning;
children, Alexander Ray Branning, Arron Forrest Branning, Patrick Alan Branning, and Matthew Tyler Branning;
stepchildren, Joshua Lee Townsend and Nathaniel Charles Townsend;
grandchildren, Aiden Reese Branning, Jace Edward Branning, Gemma Ann Branning, and Emerson Kurt Branning;
brother, Randy Jay Branning;
sister, Nancy Branning Ryan;
four nephews, one niece, four great-nephews, and two great-nieces;
and extended family members.
