Our Beloved Darlene Gillespie sadly passed away at home on August 16, 2024, at the age of 65.
Darlene was the wife of Tony Gillespie of Hornbeck for 46 years and had a host of family, friends, nieces, nephews, and adopted boys.
Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved son, Justin Gillespie of Hornbeck. Their bond was a source of strength and love throughout her life.
Darlene was a wonderful mother to all and was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. A friend to many, she was a cherished member of the community, and she is leaving behind a legacy of kindness and strength. " She was known by many names; "D", Mrs. Darlene and Mawmaw, and is known for her strong will, but caring in every way. She showed support always no matter how she felt, always thinking of others before herself. She showed her Rathole boys tough love, but she loved them dearly. She was sincere and wanted the best for you always!
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Darlene's family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life, not the sadness of her passing.
