Cindy was born February 22, 1959, in Leesville, Louisiana and passed away January 27, 2023, in Lake Charles, Louisiana at the age of 63. She worked as a property manager for many years. Cindy was a devoted mother. She adored her children, and they adored her. Her loved ones always knew they had a safe place in her arms. Cindy had many names she fondly answered to, but one of her most favorites was mawmaw. She was mawmaw Cindy, and she loved it. She adored her children and grandchildren. She had a special bond with each of them, and she made sure to carry on loving traditions that were unique to each child. She was the Minky queen. You knew you were loved when you were covered in a Minky blanket. She said they were like big hugs and hugs are always free. She was quick to forgive and so easy to love. Cindy was the epitome of kind. She never met a stranger. She was an encourager - always ensuring everyone around her that everything was going to be okay. She was a woman of prayer. It didn’t matter what the need was she knew it could be met in prayer. She believed in the name of Jesus, and she wasn’t afraid to call on Him or give Him the glory in everything. Over the last several weeks there were many hours spent in prayer. She prayed and she requested her friends and family to pray with her. Cindy enjoyed gardening and growing flowers. She loved to get dirt on her toes and under her fingernails. Cindy loved animals as much as she did people. She found great joy in feeding the birds and squirrels. She recently became a chicken and bunny farmer, and her flock quickly grew. She was so strong. She carried a lot of tragedy through life, but she always had a smile. Her smile and laughter were beautiful and contagious. Cindy was the most kind and giving person you could ever meet. She wanted to help the hurting. She wanted everyone to feel like family. She wanted you to laugh, and she was extremely good at making that happen. You always knew you were welcome at her table and in her home. She wanted to love you, and she wanted to feed you. She was the light of any room she was in. Her presence brought joy and peace. She was a wonderful friend to all. She was such a strong, caring mother and her friends and family were blessed by her loving spirit. She will be greatly missed, but where there is deep grief there is great love.
