Obituary for Connie Ann Hazel- James
Connie Ann Choplin Hazel James a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed from this life on Saturday, May 7, 2016, at her home in Pickering, Louisiana. Connie was born September 16th, 1955, in St. Martinville, LA to Francis and Agatha Latiolis Choplin and passed away at the age of 60 years 7 months and 21 days. She had lived in Pickering for most of her life where she attended and graduated from Pickering High School in 1973. She was the office manager for the Ward 4 water district for the past 28 years and attended church with her daughter at Waters Edge Church of Lake Charles, LA. Preceding her in death were her parents. She is survived by her son and daughter in law: Chris and Bridget Hazel of Leesville, LA Daughter: Katie James of Lake Charles, LA Sister and brother in law: Donna and Rick Wilson of Burkville, TX Brother and Sister in law: Kevin and Kati Segura of DeQuincy, LA Grandchildren: Matthew and Madelyn Hazel Three Nieces and 2 nephews Her wishes were to be cremated. Family will receive friends beginning at 4 p.m. on Monday until 6:30 p.m. in the chapel of Jeane's Funeral Service at 100 East Union St. in Leesville. A private memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Susan Komen cancer research organization.
