Obituary for Christene Cabra
A funeral service for Christene Leray Cabra will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Grace Assembly of God, 2557 Port Arthur Ave. Hornbeck, LA 71439, with Reverend Daniel Davis officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Beckham Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday at Grace Assembly of God and continue until the time of service.
Christene was born on September 15, 1939, and passed away on April 28, 2017, at the age of 77. She was born and raised in the Knight Community in Louisiana. After marrying her husband, Teddy Cabra, she became a dedicated pastor’s wife and enjoyed traveling as a family. Christene was a CA and Bible Quiz leader in the Assembly of God church for many years. She was a wonderful cook and a devoted homemaker. Spending time with her friends and family was such an important part of Christene’s life. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy Raymon Cabra; parents, Lonnie and Vina Blackmon; and son, David Cabra.

Pallbearers will be Josh Blackmon, Jim Ed Blackmon, Justin Blackmon, Gary Hinson, Pete Lasneske, and Mike Morales.
Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Lewis and Mike Lewis.
