Obituary for Charles Willard Westmoreland
Memorial services for Charles Willard Westmoreland will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013 graveside in the Pine Hill Cemetery west of Leesville at 11:00 A.M.. Visitation will start at 10:00 A.M at Pine Hill Baptist Church. Willard, 73 passed away on Saturday, Oct 4, 2013 in Alexandria . He was a native of Leesville and served his country as a Gunnery SGT with the U.S.M.C during the Viet Nam War and was a receipient of the Purple Heart and Cross of Gallantry for his service. After retirement from the U.S.M.C. he served with the Louisiana State Police for 20 yrears. He enjoyed traveling and living on Toledo Bend. Preceding him in death was his 1st wife JoAnne Westmoreland and father Hubert Westmoreland Survivors are his wife of 16 years Linda Westmoreland of Burkeville, TX Son: Mike Westmoreland of Anacoco, LA. Daughter: Deanna Byus of Leesville, LA. Mother: Carlene Westmoreland-Leesville, LA. Brothers: Jerry Westmoreland; Baton Rouge, LA. Wayne Westmoreland and Robert "Bob" Westmoreland both of Leesville,LA. Sisters: Pat Sherwood of Beaumont, TX and Sandy Westmoreland-Qutar Vae Four Grandchildren and one Great Grandchild
