Obituary for Charles Allen Bennett
Funeral services celebrating the life of Charles Allen Bennett will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Simpson Church of God located at 4560 Hwy 8, Simpson, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016 beginning at 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Simpson Church of God, with a visitation on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 PM until time of service. Reverends Richard LaCour and Bob Schlemmer will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Island Cemetery located on Hwy 465 in Simpson, LA under the direction of Jeane"s Funeral Service of Leesville. Mr. Charles Allen Bennett was born in Leesville, LA on February 10, 1938 and passed from this life to glory on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at the age of 78 years, 6 months, and 18 days. Charles was a longtime resident of Simpson, LA where he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Charles loved to spend time with his family and friends by cooking, barbequing, and celebrating life. He also enjoyed working in his yard, raising a garden, fixing anything, and playing pranks on those he cherished. He was a devoted member of Simpson Church of God. Preceding Charles in death were his parents, Ed and Lela Bennett, three brothers Rudolph, Keith and Lamar Bennett, and his son-in-law, Ricky Jeter. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Madie Bennett of Simpson, LA, son Karl (Janet), son Kenny, and daughter Katrina Jeter Grandchildren: Brent Jeter, Jill (Bryan) Somers, Lance Bennett, Holly (Kris) Johnson, Dallas Jeter, Kay (Jonathan) Turner, Kaleb Bennett, and Kameron Bennett Great Grandchildren: Dominic, Jacoby and Destiny Jeter, Natalie, Katelyn, and Hailey Somers, Bailey and Olivia Johnson.
