Catherine "MaMaw" 73 of Anacoco passed away on Tuesday, January7, 2014 at her residence in Anacoco. She was born on March 22, 1940 to Felton and Vera Peace Martin. She was a retired Cafeteria worker at Anacoco High School and had worked as a nurses aid for many years at the former Kurthood Manor Nursing Home and was a longtime member of Crystal Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the W.M.U. , choir and sang Alto with the choir, trio's and quartets. MaMaw loved being outdoors especially during springtime, trimming her rose bushes and working in her yard. She loved to cook for her family and friends and "Oh" what a cook she was! Nobody could make "sweet tea" like Moma. She loved everybody but if you were wrong about something, she would let you know in a sweet loving way. Our sweet loving Daddy had a funny saying to Moma, he would always call her "Fat Cat" as most of you alll know, she would always laugh and tell him shutup "Baldy." We cherish the memories of her and know that mom and dad are forever together walking those streets of "Gold". She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 yrs. Harold"Wayne"Jeane, Parents ; Felton and Vera Martin, brothers; Melvin, Glen and James Martin. Survivors are her daughter and son in law; Sandy and Greg Cruz of Anacoco Sons and daughters in law:: Timmy and Kim Jeane, Randy Jeane, Allen Dewayne and Joyce Jeane, Joey and Libby Jeane all of Anacoco. Sister: Ruby Beatrice Sewell of Anacoco Twenty One Grandchildren and Twenty Four Great Grandchildren Host of Nephews and Nieces
