Carole Dee Hollier was born December 12, 1935, in Orange, Texas and passed away April 24, 2023, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 87. She proudly served in the Women’s Corp of the US Army and was stationed in Germany. After graduating from Sulphur High School, she earned a BA at McNeese State University and also attended LSU where she took graduate-level classes. She was one smart cookie! Carole was a homemaker who provided a loving home for her family. She took pride in keeping her yard and home spotless. She enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and deer that came on her property. Carole was an avid reader and had a loving heart because she would help anyone she could. Her family brought her so much joy, and she would keep in touch through emails.
Carole was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Mark Carlin and Dorothy Maude Jones Carlin and brother, Keith Carlin.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of over 50 years, Jack Charles Hollier of Anacoco, LA;
sons, John Mark Hollier and wife Hollie of Ragley, LA and Jason Kirk Hollier of Anacoco;
grandchildren, Adelaide Hollier, Alyssa Spooner and husband Cole, Colby Hollier, and Angel Hollier;
great-grandchildren, Kasen Hollier and Lila Fontenot;
brother, Kent Carlin and wife Paula of Sulphur, LA;
sisters, Maxine Mertena of Moss Bluff, LA and Jeanne Bauer of Sulphur;
and extended family members and friends.
