Obituary for Carlton Lee McKee
A graveside service for Carlton Lee McKee will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2020 in Mitchell Cemetery, 4341 Hwy. 111 E. Anacoco, LA 71403, with Reverend Wayne Chance officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mr. McKee was born September 28, 1948 and passed away May 27, 2020 at the age of 71. Carlton was a lifetime resident of Anacoco, Vernon Parish. He was married to Dianne Bush of Anacoco for 42 years. After marriage, Carlton had two children with Dianne and raised two more as his own. When Carlton’s dad passed away at an early age, he took it upon himself to support his momma and help raise and support his younger siblings. He was not only a big brother to them but also a father figure. He worked 23 years and retired from the Vernon Parish Police Jury as the Vernon Parish Road Supervisor. After retirement, he and Dianne continued a music business started by their son, Adam. The music store became a ministry to them, and they served the Vernon Parish Area for more than 15 years. After the love of his life, Dianne, passed away in 2015, our dad was a changed and broken man. Please join us, his children and family, in honoring his memory as a hard-working Christian man who loved his family, friends, and most of all his Savior, Jesus Christ.
Carlton was preceded in death by his wife of 41 years, Dianne McKee; parents, Arlington Lee “Bouncer” McKee and Marie Bush McKee; son, Paul Russell Harris; and daughter, Carla McKee.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons, Adam McKee of Anacoco, LA; Joey Harris and wife Elita of Anacoco, LA; and Tim Boylan (honorary son),
daughter, Robin Mitchell and husband Greg of Lindale, TX,
brothers, Roger McKee and wife Judy and Lynn McKee,
sisters, Virginia Jackson and husband Rodney and Alice Pieritz and husband Doug,
grandchildren, Holly Boylan Segura, Steven Boylan and wife Taylor, Ryan Mitchell, Kirsty Auldridge and husband Emilio, Autumn Harris, Zack Harris, Katherine Self and husband Austin, and Jamie Cook,
great grandchildren, Liam, Baby Boylan, Ollie, Dillon, Devin, Isabella, James, Charlie, Jessica, and Azrelle,
and a host of nieces and nephews whom he cherished and loved.
Pallbearers will be Steven Boylan, Joey Harris, Adam McKee, Ryan Mitchell, Zack Harris, and Greg Mitchell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Roger McKee, Lynn McKee, Milton McKee, and Richard Khool.
