Obituary for Bruce Addison Harris
Funeral services for Bruce Addison Harris will be held at 11:00 on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at Jeane’s Funeral Service with Reverend Jerry Twyman officiating. Burial will follow in Stephens Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5th from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Mr. Harris was born on October 27, 1965, in Houston, Mississippi and passed away on January 3, 2018, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 52. He was a 1985 graduate of Leesville High School and worked for the Vernon Parish Police Jury for over twenty years. Mr. Harris served one term as town alderman for New Llano. He enjoyed fishing and loved all types of animals.
Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his father, Addison Harris and his mother, Shirley Ann Sermons.
Left to cherish his memory are his stepfather, Thomas E. Sermons of Leesville, LA
Brothers: Tim Harris and wife Marlena and Jack Harris all of New Llano, LA
Niece: Shannon Danielle Harris of Henderson, Nevada
Nephews: Thomas Lee Harris of New Llano, LA and Timothy Michael Harris of Alexandria, Minnesota
Great nieces: Audrey Harris and Hayley Harris.
Pallbearers will be Tim Harris, Jack Harris, Randy Cox, Bobby Pruitt, Kenneth Hetrick, Steven Thomas, David Stone, and Velvin Stone.
Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Harris and Timothy Michael Harris.
