Obituary for Brenda Jacobs Spurgeon
A graveside service for Brenda Jacobs Spurgeon will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Castor Cemetery with Reverend Joey Rudisill officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Brenda was born June 13, 1955 in Lake Charles, LA and passed away October 13, 2020 in Leesville, LA at the age of 65. She was a resident of Vernon Parish for most of her life and a devoted homemaker who loved to cook for her family. Some of her favorite things were dancing and going to the beach. Brenda was artistic and crafty as well as being an accomplished seamstress.
Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Leonard Spurgeon and parents, Edward Vahon Jacobs and Sybil Watson Jacobs.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Vaneesa LaNan Williams and husband Kenny of Leesville, LA,
grandchildren, MaKenneah LaNan Williams and Kash Edward-Lawson Williams,
and a host of extended family.
Pallbearers will be Harvey “Tubby” Ashworth, Leland “Lee Lee” Ashworth, Blake Wologo, Nathan Jacobs, Gary “Killer” McGraw, and Kash Edward-Lawson Williams
