Obituary for Bobby Ray Parker
Funeral services for Bobby Ray Parker will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Family Worship Center with Reverend Mike Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Thursday, March 25th from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m.
Bobby was born December 24, 1941 and passed away March 23, 2021 at the age of 79. He lived in Leesville for most of his life and worked for over 40 years as a welder. He could play almost any musical instrument and was a good mechanic. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bobby was a kind man who would do anything for anybody. He was married to his soulmate, Barbara, for 59 years and deeply loved his children and grandchildren.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, William Samuel Parker and Laura Lee Higginbotham Parker and brother, Marvin Parker.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Barbara Ann Parker of Leesville,
sons, Johnny “Bull” Scott and wife Christine; Todd “Cotton” Scott and wife Jennifer; and Christopher DuBois all of Leesville,
daughter, Kanya Parker and husband Bradley of Leesville,
sister, Mamie Jones of Leesville,
grandchildren, Claire Parker, Hannah Scott and fiancée Dillon, Savannah Scott, Emily Scott, Kyle Scott, Laikyn Cryer and husband Dakota, Tyler Scott and wife Hannah, Talyn Cryer, and TaciLeigh DuBois,
great grandchildren, Julian Smyth, Triton Cryer, Hadley Cryer, Tyler Cryer, Brooklynn Cryer, and Madilynn Scott,
and a host of extended family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Long, Dennis O’Reilly, Joseph Harris, Nick Harris, Tyler Scott, and Kye Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Donny West and Stephen McCrary.
