Obituary for Billy "Fish" Williams
Funeral services for Billy “Fisher" Williams will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 22, 2017, at First Baptist Church Anacoco, 4813 Port Arthur Ave. Anacoco, LA with Reverends Kenneth Baggs, Durhl Davis, and Dr. Andrew Williams officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 21st at 4:00 p.m. for family and from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for visitors at First Baptist Church Anacoco.
Billy Fish was born on April 26, 1936, and passed away on June 19, 2017, at the age of 81. After graduating from Hornbeck High School, he joined the Army then later worked in finance and accounting at Fort Polk. Billy Fish held a variety of jobs including selling insurance, farming, raising cattle, carpentry, driving a school bus for Anacoco, and serving on the Police Jury. He could often be found working on his tractors, taking care of his dogs, playing dominoes, and fishing. Billy Fish was a member and deacon at Crystal Springs Baptist Church.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Bonnie Faye Bush Williams; parents, Joseph Duffie and Mae Ella McConathy Williams; brothers: Leland, Leamon, Virgil, Floyd, MacArthur, and Duffie Joe; son-in-law, Richard Ronayne Jr.
Left to cherish Billy Fish’s memory are his son: Billy James Williams and wife Sandra of Anacoco, LA
Daughters: April Williams Ronayne of Anacoco, LA and Courtnee Williams Roberts and husband Thomas of Anacoco, LA
Brothers: Lee Raymond Williams and wife Doris of Anacoco, LA; Charlie Williams and wife Melba of Anacoco, LA; Fred Williams and wife Earlene of Hornbeck, LA; and Buddy Williams and wife Paige of Anacoco, LA
Sister: Shirley Hamrick of Hornbeck, LA
Grandchildren: Brandy, Jared and wife Beth, Daniel and wife Randi, Rick, Tre’, and Ty
Great grandchildren: Jacob, Dominic, Jared Jr., Julian, Daphne, Dayzie, and Dakota
A host of extended family
Pallbearers will be Delbert Bush, Greg Williams, Joey Williams, Stacy Williams, David Hamrick, and Bennie Martin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Barnie Magee, Phillip James, Terry Carter, Buddy Roberts, Steve Coffman and Chester Burgess.
