A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated for Bidala Liebas, age 83 of Lamesa, Texas at 10: a.m. on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her beloved church of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Lamesa, Texas with Father Joseph Kurumbel officiating along with Decon Daniel Valenzuela. Burial will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home of Lamesa, Texas and Jeane Funeral Services Inc. of Leesville, LA. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary Service set for 7:00 p.m. Bidala passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Leesville, Lousiana. She was born on May 10, 1933 in Ozuna, Texas. Bidala married Rudolfo (Rudy) Leibas on January 29, 1993 in Lamesa, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolfo (Rudy) Leibas; her parents, Gamaliel Longoria and Catarina Rodriguez; her brothers, Thomas Rodriguez and Jose Rodriguez. Bidala was a homemaker and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Lamesa. She enjoyed spending time with family and her dog. Bidala loved to tend to her beautiful flowers in her yard. Survivors includes her beloved family, her son, Ricardo Maldonado of Leesville, LA; her brother, Otimio Longoria of Odessa, Texas; her sisters, Dora Garcia of Roswell, NM and Aurora Hernandez of Lamesa, Texas; her grandsons, Richard Maldonado of Lamesa, Texas, Benjamin Maldonado of Lubbock, Texas, Antonio Maldonado of Slayton, Texas, Michael Maldonado of Leesville, LA; seven great-grandchildren.
