Obituary for Beverly Jean Burritt
Funeral services for Beverly Jean Burritt will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Pine Hill Baptist Church with her son, Mark Burritt, officiating. The burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Beverly was born October 26, 1937, in Elkhart, Indiana and passed away February 19, 2023, in Natchitoches, Louisiana at the age of 85. For over 30 years, she worked as a secretary at Marion General Hospital in Indiana. Most of her time was spent working or caring for her family, and she liked to cook – especially for large crowds. When she had time, Beverly enjoyed computer games and jigsaw puzzles. When she was able, she would volunteer in nursing homes along with her husband, Edgar. She was blessed with a “green thumb” and could grow beautiful plants.
Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Junior Burritt, parents, Robert Walter Tavernier & Garnet Marie Vanferson Tavernier, and step mother, Vera Tavernier.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Robert Burritt and wife Opal of Oldsmar, FL, David Burritt and wife April of Clermont, FL, Paul Burritt and wife Joy of Marion, IN, and Mark Burritt and wife Tami of Winona Lake, IN;
daughter, Sandra Keller of Natchitoches, LA;
grandchildren, Amy Llorens and husband Jeff, Jennifer Austin, Eric Mitchener and wife Melanie, Adam Eberhard, Drew Eberhard, Kimberly Parker and husband Adam, Elizabeth Mysliwiec and husband Derek, Megan Wilson, Ryann Wilson, Sheila Johnson, Joshua Burritt and wife Kylie, Aletheia Burritt, Nadiya Gottschalk and husband Andrew, Jonn Burritt, Gabriel Vargas and wife Stephanie, Grace Keller, Isabella Keller;
great-grandchildren, Matthew Llorens, Alexandria Llorens, Sara Austin, Austin Mitchener, Parker Mitchener, Tyler Reynolds, Zander Brown, Alexia Wyse, Austin Wyse, Allison Parker, Maddison Parker, William Johnson, Alex, Sal, Lia, Oliver, Kylee, and Emerie;
