Obituary for Betty Sue Myers
Funeral services for Betty Sue Myers will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Christian Living Fellowship Church, 12955 Lake Charles Hwy, Leesville, LA at 10:30 AM with Rev. Bobby Ganaway officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Forest Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 9:00 AM until time of service at Christian Living Fellowship Church.
Betty was born March 1, 1947, in Gladewater, Texas and passed away peacefully on August 13, 2021, at the age of 74. Since the early 1970’s, she has lived in Leesville where she provided a loving home to her family. Betty enjoyed being outdoors and spent many hours fishing and camping. Her other hobbies were crocheting, baking, and sewing which she shared with her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Dalton Myers; parents, Olan Vell Seay and Ruby Irene Bond; brother, Luther Dean “Scooter” Cain; sister, Billie Beck; and grandson, Dalton Michael Sheppard.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Clarence Lee Myers, Olan James Leverett, and William Foster Myers all of Leesville, LA;
daughters, Charlotte Ann Fowler and husband Butch of Leesville, LA, Paula Sue Tanner of Huntsville, TX, Melissa Irene Dobson and husband Anthony of Huntsville, TX, and Beverly Diane Hanson and husband Russell of DeRidder, LA;
sisters, Louise Leyendecker and Jorie “Cathy” Swain;
brothers, William Cain, Jr.;
grandchildren, Wesley and Alex, Bryan and Heather, Kelli, Josh and Danielle, Christy and Koen, Alicia, Justin, Josette, Crystal and David, Ty, Skylar, Ally, JR and Bre, Lillian and Tavis, and TJ
30 great grandchildren and extended family members.
