Obituary for Barry Kelly Formby
Funeral services for Barry Kelly Formby will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Pleasant View Baptist Church 200 Hwy. 473 Hornbeck, LA, with Reverends Justin Airhart and John Lewing officiating. Burial will follow in Prewitt’s Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. A visitation will be held at the church beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, October 12th and continue until the time of service.
Barry was born February 1, 1956 and passed away October 10, 2020 at the age of 64. He worked for Boise for thirty years before retiring. Barry was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and served as a deacon. He was a hard worker and liked to stay busy. During his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Barry had a unique sense of humor and liked to joke and pick with his family. Most of all, he loved his family and his grandchildren brought him so much joy.
Barry was preceded in death by his parents, Kelly and Vernice Formby.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 25 years, Debbie Formby of Anacoco, LA,
sons, Joseph Kelly Formby and wife Ashlynn of Florien, LA and Matthew Lee Formby of Anacoco, LA,
grandchildren, Abygail Formby, Mia Formby, Jaxson Kelly Formby, Tristan Brister, and one on the way – Kayden Formby,
sisters, Caroline Cole of Bremerton, WA and Donna Elliott and husband Mike of Mexico,
nieces and nephews, Mikey Eilers, Lindsay Curtis, Lilah Curtis, Billy “Bo” Curtis, and Megan Barnard,
and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Pallbearers will be Joe Formby, Matthew Formby, Billy Curtis, Billy “Bo” Curtis II, Mikey Eilers, Johnny Lewing, Jake Lewing, Matt Wilson, Joey Drew, and Cade Geoffroy. Honorary pallbearers will be Garry Pridgen and Rickey Paul Cauthen.
