Obituary for Barbara Lois Jackson
Funeral services for Barbara Lois Bennett Jackson will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015, 2:00PM at Simpson Baptist Church with Rev. Jeremy Blocker officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Island Cemetery, Simpson, LA, under the direction of Jeane�s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2015, from 6:00-9:00PM at Simpson Baptist Church. Mrs. Jackson was born on October 27, 1934, in Ft. Sill, OK to Lloyd and Alice Clark Bennett and passed away on October 6, 2015, in Leesville, LA at the age of 80. Her parents returned to Vernon Parish and raised their family in Simpson, LA. Barbara was married to the love of her life, John Claiborne Jackson, for 62 years. She worked at Piggly Wiggly, Red & White Feed, and retired from Nichols. Barbara enjoyed crocheting, fishing, cooking, and visiting with her family and friends. She was known for making the best divinity candy ever! She was preceded in death by her parents: Lloyd and Pearl Bennett, husband: John Claiborne Jackson, and brothers: James Ronald Bennett, and Lloyd Eugene Bennett. She is survived by daughter Nedra Dianne and husband Billy Taylor Grandchildren: Allison Hebert Gilcrease, Joseph Pete Hebert, Jenna Lianne Taylor, and Jessica Ariel Taylor Great-Grandchildren: Darrien Hebert, Daisy Portz, Kirstyn Gilcrease, Kyle Jeane, and Khloe Jeane Words of comfort may be extended to the family at www.jeanesfs.com.
