Ashley Nicole Gattis, beloved mother and daughter passed away on September 2, 2024, in Anacoco, Louisiana. She was born on June 13, 1998, in Alexandria, Louisiana to her loving parents Jefferson Lyle Gattis and Donna Lanell Dowden. Ashley’s memory will forever be cherished by family and friends. Her loss has left an indelible void in the hearts of all who knew her. Her beautiful smile, witty personality, and silly giggle will forever be missed, but will live on through the infectious smile, and sweet spirit of her daughter, Paisley Grace. Ashley attended Leesville High School graduating in May 2017 then college at Louisiana State University in Alexandria. Her countless number of friends began during the years of cheerleading at Leesville High School. She also enjoyed soccer, volleyball, track and cross country. As we mourn this profound loss together, let us find solace in the memories we shared and the moments that made our lives brighter because she was part of them.
Ashley is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Roosevelt and Dorothy Gattis, uncle, Roosevelt Gattis, Jr., and her great grand parents Jim and Georgia West
Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Paisley Grace Gattis; mother and step father, Donna and Raymond Dowden; father and step mom, Jeff and Jessica Gattis; grandparents, Kenny and Gienell Doyle; brother, Jordan Gattis (Bethany Gattis); step brothers, Trevor Dowden (Hannah) and Isaac Dowden; step sister, Lauren Dowden; uncle, Rocky Gattis (Carla), aunt, Wanda Martin (Lennie); cousin, Mason and a host of extended family and friends.
Funeral services honoring the life of Ashley Nicole Gattis will be held on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Family Worship Center at 10:00 am with Reverends Mike Jackson and Tinker Hillman officiating. Burial will follow at Good Hope Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Serving as pallbearers will be Jody Williams, AJ Furlow, Michael Funderburk, Trevor Dowden, Jordan Gattis, Brandon Richardson, Coddie Richardson, and Casey West. Honorary pallbearer will be Aden Gustafson.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 5:30 – 8:00 pm at Family Worship Center.
