Obituary for Arlinda Tubal Cruz
Funeral Services for Mrs. Arlinda Cruz, 86, of Leesville will be held at 8 AM on Monday, August 19, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Leesville with the Reverend Adam Travis officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM on Sunday, August 18, 2024, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church. A rosary will be held at 4:30 on Sunday, August, 18, 2024.
Mrs. Cruz passed away peacefully with her children at her side on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville.
Linda was born to Francisco and Prudencia Tubal in Kahuku, Hawaii. She has resided in Leesville since 1968. As a military wife, Linda was very loving and supportive to our late father, Gregorie, while raising and nurturing five children and achieving an accomplished career with Barksdale Federal Credit Union from where she retired. An avid gardener, she was known for her gorgeous plumerias and hibiscus. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church for 56 years. She actively participated and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary She had a beautiful voice and enjoyed sharing it as a member of the St. Michael’s Church choir for over 40 years.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Gregorie Cruz; grandson, Bobby Hudson; and seven sisters and three brothers.
She is survived by her sons, Greg (Sandy) Cruz of Leesville, Marvin (Debra) Cruz of Ballwin, MO and Myron Cruz of Dallas, TX; two daughters, Sindy (Barry) Hudson of Willis, TX and Luisa Bonner of Leesville; two brothers, Benjamin “Benji” Tubal and Francis “Moonsie” Tubal; two sisters, Rowena “Wendy” Nacion and Rosita “Sita” Esias. She was “Nana” to eight grandchildren, Derek Cruz, Ashley Hudson-Martin, Jared Hudson, Cameron Cruz, Owen Cruz, Gregorie Cruz, Megan Bonner and Austin Bonner and 12 great grandchildren.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Derek Cruz, Jared Hudson, Austin Bonner, Nathan Martin, Ryan Smash, Cameron Cruz, Owen Cruz, Gregorie Cruz
Honorary pallbearers will be Homer " Blue " Roberts, Jesus " Jesse " Leon Guerro, Richard Sibley, Raymond Navarro, Thomas James, Robert James, Floyd " J.R." Newcomb Jr., Patrick Quenga, Timmy Jeane, Joey Jeane, and Herman Kealaula
She loved singing for her heavenly Father here on earth. And, she now sings joyfully to the Lord in His angelic choir. A true gift to us, we will miss her dearly.
