Obituary for Anthony E Story
Funeral services honoring the life of Anthony Engledow Story will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, 10:00 AM at the Central Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Anthony Engledow Story was born on September 2, 1929, in Dallas, TX to Willis and Pauline Story. He passed away on June 22, 2021, in Deridder LA, at the age of 91. Mr. Story was a career military man serving his country in both the United States Air Force and the Army. He retired after 24 years of service with two tours in Vietnam and Germany, and one in Korea. He earned many metals including the Vietnam Gallantry Cross with Bronze Star. He has been a resident of Vernon Parish since 1966 and worked at Lowe’s to help occupy his time and meet new people. He enjoyed playing cards and dominos. He loved family, God, and country.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Kenneth Story.
He is survived by his sister, Diane Story Smith of South San Francisco, CA,
nephews, Quentin Smith and wife Debra of Pacifica, CA and Christopher Smith and wife Kimberly of Half Moon Day, CA,
and other extended family.
