Obituary for Alma Ruth Cobb
A funeral service for Alma Ruth Cobb will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Oak Forest Baptist Church, 7336 Kurthwood Road Leesville, LA, with Reverend Joe Call officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Visitation will be held at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Alma was born April 10, 1936 in Springfield, IL and passed away January 22, 2021 in Leesville, LA at the age of 84.
She was a member of the Oak Forest Baptist Church. She loved her church and church family dearly. But most of all she loved and cherished her family, children, and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking for her family, reading and attending the grandkids ballgames when they were younger and watching her birds. She loved her animals who were treated like children. She would quickly straighten you out about that! She was a spunky, hard working lady who was loved by many.
Alma was preceded in death by her parents, Enos Arthur Higgerson and Mable Elizabeth Smith Higgerso; her sister, Gloria June Benthall; and her first husband, Henry Lee Cobb .
Left to cherish her memory are her spouse, Larry Sodosky who loved and admired her for 49 years; four children, Troy Cobb and wife Cheryl, Ronnie Cobb, Patty Williamson(Wade), and Brian Cobb(Kim); one stepson, Terry Sodosky and wife Pam; eleven grandchildren, Jeremy Cobb, Allison Cobb, Christopher Cobb(Alisha), Samantha Adams(Tony), Zach Cobb, Caleb Williamson, Landen Williamson, Aislinn Cobb, Ashley Asbury, Chris Sodosky, Madden Wilson, and Alex Wilson; one great granddaughter Skylar Jett; her brother, Sam Cobb; three special daughters-in-law, Lana-mother of Aislinn, Shaunda-mother of Chris and Samantha, and Tonya-mother of Zach; and a host of extended family.
Alma’s family extends a special thank you to Christus Hospice and Pallative Care St. Frances Cabrini and her nurse Nicki Kessler.
