Obituary for Albert Weissbohn
Funeral services honoring the life of Albert Arthur Weissbohn will be held on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. in the Chapel of Jeane's Funeral Service, 100 East Union St., Leesville, LA with Rev. Ricky Carver officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco, LA under the direction of Jeane's Funeral Services. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 2, 2015 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm and then from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Tuesday at Jeane's Funeral Service. Albert "Al" was born on August 17, 1941, in East Germany to Adalbert and Elisabeth Weissbohn and passed away on Friday, January 30th, 2015 at his residence at the age of 73 years, 5 months and 13 days. He had lived in Vernon Parish since 1995 having moved here from St. Ann, IL where he worked in the metal recycling business. He loved to be outdoors, hunt and fish, but especially enjoyed working with his hands doing woodwork and collecting rocks and gems. He was a member of the Jasper rock and gem club and in his younger years loved to race cars. He enjoyed NACAR racing especially #17 and #18 and always tinkering around. Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors are his wife of 32 yrs, Joyce Brownfield Weissbohn of Anacoco, LA. Daughter and son in law: Robin Kay Barnes(Robert) of Chebanse, IL. Brothers: Hans Weissbohn of Pearl River, LA, Manfred Weissbohn of Germany, and Herbert Weissbohn of WI Grandchildren: David(Kelly) Weissbohn , Lacy Kay Barnes Sister in law: Leatha Herrerra Special Nephews and Nieces: Thomas, Mike, and Terri Weissbohn, Chris Cox, Jennifer Emerson , Jamie Langreder, Cathy Morton, and Larry Lance.
