Obituary for Albert Jeane Todd
Albert Jeane Todd was born on January 24, 1945, in Stroud, Oklahoma to the late James Andrew Jackson and Jeroline Jordan Jackson. In 1963, he moved to Fort Polk and served in the U.S. Army. He met the love of life, Vivian Johnson Todd, and they married in 1966. After 23 years of service, he retired in 1984 while at Fort Riley, Kansas. Albert was the owner of the Pearl Harbor Clubs 1 and 2 for 30 years. He became a member of the Greater Bethel AME Church and was an active member of the Sons of Allen Men’s Ministry.
Albert and Vivian were the parents of six children, one of which preceded them in death, Santana Johnson.
Those left to cherish his memories are children: Natasha Montgomery (Dallas, Texas), Rosemary Williams (Nashville, Arkansas), Jeaneen Stokes (Milwaukee, Wisconsin), Tracy Johnson (Leesville, LA), and Kelvisha Stokes-Crowell (Leesville, LA), grandchildren: Dominique Jackson (Leesville, LA) and Keishawn Adams (Nashville, AR), and great grandchild, Josiah Jackson.
Brothers: Wardell Todd, Floyd Taylor, and Randy Taylor (all from Dallas, Texas), Darrell Todd (Modesto, California), and Jimmy Todd (Dos Palos, California)
Sisters: Edith Gaines (Stroud, OK), Viola Singleton (Dallas, Texas ), Sherry Johnson (Dallas, Texas), Glenda Smith (Dallas, Texas ), Kathy Taylor (Del City, Oklahoma), Darlene Marshall (Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), Marilyn Todd (Turlock, Georgia), Andrea Todd (Dos Palos, California), and Cheryl Todd (Dos Palos, California).
Albert was also survived by a host of extended family and friends.;
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Johnson Todd; daughter, Santana Johnson; parents, Andrew and Jeroline Todd; brothers, James Edward Todd, William Nathan Todd, and Darrell Brady; and sister, Angelia Denise Taylor.
A memorial service for Mr. Todd will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at the Greater Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church with Reverend Curtis Fields officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
