Obituary for Aida Gonzalez
A funeral service for Aida Luz Gonzalez will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Christian Living Fellowship Church, 12955 Lake Charles Hwy. Leesville, Louisiana 71446, with Reverend Bobby Ganaway officiating under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church from 3:00 – 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 13th and again on Friday, April 14th from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Aida was born on January 22, 1941, and passed on April 9, 2017, at the age of 76. She was born in Puerto Rico to Julio and Maria Gonzalez. Aida was a true homemaker, and she cooked every day and sewed clothes for her children. She loved babies, crocheting, gardening – especially roses and gardenias, and helped run her family’s business. Aida will be remembered for her nurturing, loving spirit and as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Preceding her in death were her son, David Gonzalez; sister, Auria Romero; and brothers, Amalio and Jaime Gonzalez.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 59 years, Julian Gonzalez
Daughters: Angela Diaz and husband Daniel of Farmingdale, NY; Nancy Rollis and husband Edward of New Llano, LA; and Elizabeth Rollis and husband Eugene of New Llano, LA
Grandchildren: Javine Arroyo, Ricardo Diaz, Christopher Rollis, Daniel Diaz, Daniella Ganaway, AidaLynn Cojocar, and Jonathan Rollis
Great grandchildren: Abriel Arroyo, Michael Arroyo, Lucy Ganaway, Leah Arroyo, and Julian Diaz
A host of nieces, nephews, and extended family
Pallbearers will be Ricardo Diaz, Christopher Rollis, Daniel Diaz, Jonathan Rollis, Joseph Romero, and Nelson Romero
