Obituary for Adra Rose Robinson
Funeral services honoring the life of Adra Rose Robinson will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Lone Star Baptist Church with Reverends Glen Womble, Ken Basco, Jeff Scroggins, Sherman Busby, and Kevin Boles officiating. Interment will follow at 3:00 PM at Lone Star Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM until time of service.
Adra Rose Robinson was born on March 21, 1940, in Cravens, LA to Irving and Jewel Johnson. She passed away on August 21, 2024 at her home at the age of 84. She was a retired bus driver for Rapides Parish and served others as a pastor’s wife. The job that was dearest to her heart was being a homemaker. She loved being outside, gardening, mowing and her flowers. She was well known for her wonderful cooking and especially her biscuits, dumplings, and gumbo. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who set an example of loving God with her whole heart, soul, and mind.
Ms. Robinson was preceded in death by her husband, Webster Robinson, infant daughter Diane Robinson, parents, Irving and Jewel Johnson, brothers, Marshall, James, Parvin and Wallace Johnson, and sister, Viola Padgett.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Alvin Robinson and wife Pam and Jeffrey Robinson all of Hineston;
daughters, Shirley Squyres and Rita Robinson both of Hineston;
sisters, Nola Pelt of Cravens and Ila Davis, Hineston;
brother, Marvin Johnson of Citrus Heights, CA;
grandchildren, Tiffany Squyres-Dycus and husband Brian, Eric Robinson and wife Kathryn, Marshall Squyres and wife Kaitlyn, Toni Robinson, and Justus Russell
great grandchildren, Brett, Raylan, Dustin Dycus, Corbit Bonner, and Austen Robinson.
